On May 6, the installation of the first batch demonstration application of 16 MW offshore wind turbines in Zhangpu Offshore Wind Farm Phase II Project contracted by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group?was completed.
The impeller diameter of the wind turbine installed this time is 252 meters, and the swept area is about 50,000 square meters. According to the wind measurement data of the sea area for many years, a single unit can generate 34.2 kilowatt-hours of electricity per revolution, with an average annual output of more than 66 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity. This can meet the annual routine electricity consumption of 36,000 families of three, save about 22,000 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 54000 tons.
It is reported that the Zhangpu Phase II Project is the first demonstration project to explore the development and construction of an offshore wind power base in southern Fujian. It is listed as a pilot demonstration project of renewable energy development in Fujian Province and a key construction project in Fujian Province in 2024.
